Hi Dennis and Co. I have a compliment to make to you. I operate CharkBait! Internet Sportfishing (www.charkbait.com) and retail your products, purchasing through distributors. A client mentioned that the finish of the Marauders I sent him wasn't up to par. After use the paint bubbled. I contacted your office and the gal who answered the phone told me what happened with the paint and told me to box 'em up for replacement. That I did last week. Today I received the replacements. That's about a three day turn around including shipping time. The new paint job is fantastic, love the micro sparkle, and I'm sure the wahoo will too. I can't express how impressed I was with the customer service. No run around, didn't have to talk to twelve different people to get the matter handled. I purchased the new Baja belt and a Pro Manta harness for fall tuna fishing off the Carolina coast. The 50-65 lb range tuna used to be a back breaking experience. However, the harness and belt assisted greatly in handling the fish, as well as eliminating the back pain. I was able to land a 148 lb tuna standing up after a 60 minute fight.Previously, I would have had to pass that fish off to somebody after about 25 minutes due to lower back pain. Great Products !!!

BIG TUNA time in the Gulf of Mexico...Fished out of Venice, La., Cypress Cove Marina for Halloween. Fished with Capt Kevin Beach onboard one of Reel Peace Charters 26' Glacier Bay cats... Slow trolling 5 lb. live mullet----kaboom, Billfish on. 42 minutes later, 350 lb Blue at the boat to be released. This was my 3rd trip with Capt Beach since 7/3/00, we are 3 for 3 for Blue Marlin. But, it gets better: Also had a White on, only to spit the hook. Total report for 2 "cats" 10/31/00: 2 Blue Marlin released 2 White Marlin released 1 White Marlin spit the hook 6 YFin, 120----167 lbs. 2 YFin, 30-40 lbs 2 Bull Dolphin, 20 lbs. 1 8' Mako lost after 10 minutes. They are convinced I have a horseshoe up my hiney. I offered to trade the horseshoe for more live bait. It worked, 5 minutes later Billy Wells is hooked to a Blue. 45 minutes later, released; 5 minutes after that, he had 2 Whites on! The 2 Captains and I are considering tournaments together now..Hah Hah......They got close to the state record (only 221.5 for YF) on Sunday with a 194 lb one, after it was bled on the boat..I may have had him on Tuesday, but the Fin-Nor50W, w/80 # line, 35# of drag at strike would not slow him down; slammed the drag to 60 lbs, he took another 300 yds, then the line was cut when I finally turned him.Gee, got my line back, but no hook or fish. Dennis, I was one of the first in Florida to run a marauder. I think it was 1991. Since then have caught more yellowfin and wahoo on them then any other lure. Now they are standard in everyones spread on the Florida east coast. It might be because of that first black/orange back in 1991. Now how about I get the wahoo bomb going. Dennis (or someone else at Braid Tackle), You have a great site, and I am sad to see that bulletin board is not working. I have just started seriously fishing for tuna over the past year and enjoy your advice and tackle. In Feb I got lucky on a 6-pack trip where I was just filling in. The people organizing the trip canceled, but they refused to take back their deposit and the captain took me out. I ending up catching a 185 lb yellowfin (here is a picture http://www.rodnreel.com/potb/PicView.asp?PicID=444). I loved every minute of the fight and am now completely obsessed with catching these beautiful creatures. Unfortunately the nature of the sport does not lend it self favorably to a student living on school loans. But fighting that fish for so long with only a Pro-Manta kidney harness made it abundantly clear that I needed a larger harness. Do you have any "factory second" sit down bucket gear that you would be willing to sell at a discount? I have tried purchasing used Braid standup gear on Ebay, but it seems that most people don't seem to want to part with it (I wonder why???). Thanks, Chad

June 5th I went to the Boaters World in charleston and purch- ased a braid Pro Manta belt a month later I went out on the Wave Runner out of Morehead City ,NC. I took my belt along to try it out. About 11:30 I caught a 47 pound yellowfin, on a TLD25 using 40lb. line. the first 10 minutes were easy but when I got it close to the boat it ran three times. By this time I was tired from the 25 min. fight so I put the drag on full and haused him to the surface,but slowly because of the 20lb. Fenwick glassblank rod.when the mate sank the gaff I was very releived and very proud of me and my belt. I could have never got that tuna in without my Braid belt. Thanks for making high quality products,I will contin- ue to be a Braid costomer.
