Hi ,Dennis Your website is so informative that it's starting to eat into my fishing time!!! Have you been down to the islands this year? I talked to Tommy Rothery from the Polaris Supreme and he said the islands have been hit and miss this year. Do you have your charter schedule for long range trips to the islands in 1999? If not when? Lastly will $5.00 cover S&H for one of your catalogs to be shipped to me here in Tokyo?? Good fishin to you.

I live and fish in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and you may not know it yet, but it is one of the hottest Sailfish locations that I have ever heard about. Our season lasts from Sept./Oct. until May/June, depending on how hot it gets. This season has been truly outstanding! The hottest boat on the water, (unfortunately it's not mine), has been averaging 14 fish caught and released per trip, and has almost 200 releases since Jan/1/98. The best day that I participated in on this boat, we released 24 Sailfish. The average size of these Indo-Pacific fish is relatively small, (rarely exeeding 100 lbs), but on 15 & 20 lb test, they are spectacular fighters.

I enjoyed your pages. Can you send me details on circle hooks. They are impossible to get in England despite spending over a month trying. i would like to try them for our fish which regularly become gut hooked, i think it would increase the release of healty fish. I have used them in the U.S.A. and think they are superb for conservation.

Dennis, Just returned from a fishing trip to Woody Head. Fished with Paul Starkey and Bill Roberts. It was a social event for the Lismore Deep Sea Fishing Club and Woody Head Club. Saturday there wasn't too many fish aroun althought today we got onto a few. Mainly Spanish & Spotted Mackeral I am about to carch a plane to Sydney for three days business so it was good to get away and relax before attending a 3 day Computer Course. Craig, our son, who is 18 in June came down with me and we had a few beers together. It was a great father & son bonding weekend. I have been looking at you site every few days to see some shots of your last trip. When will you be updating your site. I wore your "Bad Ass Bass" T shirt you gave me a couple of years ago. It starting to look a bit worn, so I'll have to buy one of your new ones when you come over again. Your father called a couple of weeks ago to tell me about the rain youv'e had over there and the damage it was causing. I hope everything is OK at your house as I understand you had a problem with mud slides. Take care and regards from the Harris' from Lismore, Australia

88% 0f the SWORDFISH you BUY NEVER HAD a chance to SPAWN !!!

I wholeheartedly agree.
This is only one of many species falling victim to the devestation of commercial fishing. Sportsfishermen take only a minute percentage of what the commercial fishing industry indiscriminately takes from the ocean.

I love your products. I'm in the market for a harness/butt rest system that will fit my style. Any suggestions? Any difference (in your mind) between what works for a man versus what works for a lady angler? I'm looking at taking the EXCEL 17 day Soft Steele trip scheduled just before yours. Any reason why your trip would be preferable? I'd love to come along for the ride... Looking to bag my first BIG tuna on this trip. My only concern is the weather that's been associated with El Nino. Do you think there's higher odds of encountering weather related conditions this Spring, as opposed to next Spring? I really want my first long trip to be GREAT. I've taken several long range trips (6-10 days) and really enjoyed myself. I took my first EXCEL trip to Guadalupe on a 6-day in June. The Excel is a good vessel, great crew, and an excellent fishing platform. On my wish list for 1998 is bagging a fish bigger than me. I'm trying to prepare -- any suggestions? A friend of mine in San Diego suggested rigging my Meat Stick with an appropriate large reel, and tying off to a my weight machine pully system to properly adjust the harness and belt system. After that, I should be able to work out by buttoning-down the drag and pulling against the weights, which should resist-give-resist "like" a real fish. That way (his suggestion) I could get the right muscles in shape for next Spring. Sound reasoning or bogus BS? One suggestion for this comment page... Make the comment entry window larger. It's really tough to try and read back what you wrote if you put more than three words on a line. Otherwise, you can only put three words on a line... Hope to hear from you. Good fishing and tight lines...
