BRAID SLAMMER JIGS
Dennis Braid is always fired up with something new to talk about - and
lately he's had plenty to talk about! He's the man when it comes to gimbal belts
and harnesses, and Braid Products also has a comprehensive selection of offshore
lures, jigs, wind-on leaders, rigs and accessories. Now, Braid's new line of
inshore and deepwater jigs rounds out the selection of products for East coast
bluefish, striped bass, cod and pollock, and weakfish.
THREE STYLES OF SLAMMERS
Three body shapes comprise the Braid Slammer jig lineup. The 750 Chrome
Mackerel Series has a chromed finish highlighted with mackerel colors over
scale-like sides for excellent light reflection. It's flattened head and wider
tail section give a good wobbling action on the retrieve and superb casting
distance. A lifelike eye adds to the visual appeal of the jig. The Chrome
Mackerel jigs are available in a wide range of nine sizes from 1/2 ounce to a
dive-bombing 10-1/2 ouncer. Colors include green mackerel, chrome, orange
mackerel, gold/orange, black mackerel and blue mackerel.
The 770 Prism Series has a slender silhouette, and slightly bent body shape
to make the jig dance nicely on medium and fast retrieves. When vertically
jigged it wobbles on the upstroke, and zig zags as it settles back down. Prism
tape is positioned on the sides of the jig to add plenty of flash and extra
color. It's available in eight sizes from 1/3 ounce to 6 ounces, and in nine
different color options.
The 790 Abalone Series jigs run from 1-3/4-ounce size to 6 ounces and have a
unique iridescent finish in six shades of abalone tints. The jig body is flat on
one side, slightly fatter at the end of the opposite side giving it an unbalanced
action that looks great in the water. It works erratically and because of the
added heft at the tail end, it casts well even in strong winds. An upturned
face, gill indents and a lifelike eye give the jig a natural appearance.
TOP QUALITY
Everything Braid does is to the ultimate in quality and so too with the new
jigs. Stainless steel split rings are used to secure the super-sharp treble
hooks to the jig body. The heavy chroming and complimentary radiant colors,
affords a durable finish that can withstand the scraps of bluefish, oyster bars
and daily fishing abuse. The polishing, position of eyes, surface textures for
scales and gills are all done with perfection in mind.
